Return to Racing Announcement

In what has been a difficult time for many, with shutdowns and reduced services affecting small and large businesses across a wide range of industries, we were keen to hear the news of a set date for the return of racing. The date is set for June 13, 2020 - unfortunately, we were hopeful of a date much sooner than this. We could go into many reasons why and how this will affect our business and the state of racing across Tasmania, however what we will do is focus on this return date and work hard towards it.

If there is a positive that we can take from this, it’s that we have a date we can work towards, and it’s pleasing to see that this is the case for many other industries as things slowly move towards some kind of normal again.

Trials return - 18th May

Another positive - it’s also been announced that trials will be permitted to recommence from Monday 18th May. It’s an important step in getting back to racing and we’re looking forward to being able to get the horses back to the track. We’ll of course be adhering to the strict health and safety standards that will be in place for some time to come.

Again, we just want to say a big thank you to our team in particular and also our ownership group for your continued support and understanding throughout this time. We’re lucky to work in an industry that we love, and while it’s been hit hard, we’re now focussed on getting back to it!
